Our Services

NHGPPO Ltd is a not-for-profit membership organization, working closely and supporting North Manchester’s 34 General Practices
and the wider local health care system at both a secondary and community level.

Service Provision

We have been commissioned in the past to provide numerous services. We are currently providing the Enhanced
Access Services (historically called the Prime Ministers Challenge Fund and then extended access) on behalf of two
Primary Care Networks in North Manchester

As part of this service, we provide GP consultations (face to face, telephone), phlebotomy and nurse (LTC reviews
and smears) services in and outside core GP hours (evenings and weekends) with a view that this should be viewed
by patients as an extension of what local practices do.

Appointments are booked via the patient's local GP practice and all the information is shared back with the practice
for them to note or act on.  Any surplus GP telephone appointments are available to booked by NHS111.

Primary Care Network Support

All of our 34 practices are members .
Our support includes (but is not exclusive to):
Recruitment, hosting the workforce and retention to PCN support team and Additional Roles Reimbursement
Scheme roles

  • Financial management and budget monitoring
  • Support and advice if and when required
  • Submission of national and local returns
  • General administrative support and governance support and advice

Partnership Working

We have a history of working with our partners to achieve the best possible care for patients and support for our
practices.
